About Tri-County Hockey
The Tri-County Hockey Association is dedicated to growing the game of ice hockey based primarily at the Kent State University Ice Arena. Serving the communities surrounding Kent, Ohio—including Stow, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Ravenna, Akron, Streetsboro, Aurora, and Tallmadge. While we list these specific communities because they're nearby, our program is not limited to these cities—players from all surrounding Northeast Ohio communities are welcome to join our organization.
We provide a safe, fun, and supportive environment where people of all ages can learn and enjoy the game of ice hockey.
We offer programs for all age groups, starting as young as 4 years old, and our High School program allows students without a school team, or who don't currently play for their high school team, to compete at a high level.
Beginning in 2024, we are also adding pre/post-season OHSAA High School teams and an adult league, making the Tri-County Hockey Association one of the largest and fastest-growing hockey clubs in all of Northeast Ohio.
We hold monthly "Try Hockey For Free" events where players are welcome to come try hockey, with equipment provided. Our youth teams (ages 4 to 14) compete in the Cleveland Suburban Hockey League (CSHL), while our High School program participates in the Northcoast High School Hockey League (NCHSHL).
Our mission is to foster a love for hockey while promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
