Our History
Over 50 seasons ago, youth ice hockey came to Kent, Ohio. Over this time, generations have continually volunteered to strengthen a community rooted in family value. We have helped nurture, raise, and train local youth to be good teammates, future leaders, and all-around better people for the future. We have created many lasting memories and have many things to be thankful for over this time.
While for over decade we have done business as the Kent Cyclones, we began as Kent-Akron hockey and are legally incorporated today at the Tri County Hockey Association. For most of our history, we were known as the Tri-County Cyclones, amongst other names. In celebration of our 50-year history, and to honor those that helped make this association as strong as it is today, we have created a celebration logo, celebrating our history. Thank you to all the committee members that helped create this exciting addition to our history. Furthermore, we will once again be known at the Tri-County Cyclones beginning the 2024-2025 season.
In the fall of 2024, we introduce the Tri County All Stars. This banner will be flown for both OHSAA pre/post season high school hockey, and for our new adult league.
